How We Work Together

Coaching is a partnership. We will work together 1-to-1 for 3 months to one year. This powerful time together creates the lasting change you need and want. All you need to do is show up, be honest and truthful about what you want and why it’s important to you. Ask yourself how does what you want impact you, your family, your community and your world? Once you do this, we’ll take it from there and your coaching package will be specific for your goals and needs. Coaching is done over the phone or Skype. South Florida clients can choose to do the coaching face to face if desired.

Programs and pricing:

My programs are designed to help you walk away with a clear understanding of your unique Goals, Decisions and Actions and with ongoing support, encouragement, and accountability you will have the tools that you need to be successful.

Coaching Sessions start at $200.00 per hour for telephone or Skype sessions. Face-to-face sessions start at $250.00 per hour.

Students ages 15-21 start at $90.00 per hour for telephone or Skype sessions.

What is professional coaching?

Coaching is a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires a person to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaches do not need to be experts in a particular field. The coaches job is to understand and recognize you the client as the expert in his or her life and work and then utilize their skills and expertise to guide you. The coach’s responsibility is to:

  • Help the client discover, clarify, and align with what they want to achieve.
  • Assist in the discovery of any blocks.
  • Guide the client to find solutions and strategies.
  • Hold the client responsible and accountable.

This process helps clients dramatically improve their outlook on work and life, while improving their leadership skills and unlocking their potential.

How can you determine if coaching is right for you?

Since coaching is a partnership, ask yourself if you are ready to listen to other points of view and open to new perspectives. Also, ask yourself if you are ready to devote the time and the energy to making real changes. If the answer is yes, then coaching may be a beneficial for you.

How is coaching different from working with a psychologist?

The key difference between coaches and psychologists is that psychologists focus on looking back to heal, while coaches focus on the future with the strategy of positive psychology. Coaching focuses on setting goals, creating outcomes and managing personal change. Just as a personal trainer is there to help you stay focused and reach your health and fitness goals, a Coach is there to do the absolute same while helping you obtain your life goals.

What are some typical reasons someone might work with a coach?

Individuals have different reasons for wanting to work with a professional coach. Some of the most common reasons are:

  • Your confidence is not where you want it to be.
  • You lack a clear vision… Or your vision is so big you’re overwhelmed.
  • Your patterns are not supporting your goals.
  • You’re irritable.
  • You’re in a huge transition.
  • You’re craving more purpose.
  • You need a job or want to change careers.
  • Core strengths need to be identified, along with how best to leverage them

How is coaching delivered? What does the process look like?

Coaching can either be done in person or over the phone. We typically begin with a personal interview where we start having you define specific short-term and long-term goals. Second, we will help you assess where you are right now and where you want to be. Then, we will help you determine what is keeping you from achieving your goals and lastly, we will work on helping you get the results you desire. Coaching sessions are customized based on the clients individual needs.

How long does a coach work with an individual?

The length of a coaching partnership varies depending on the individual’s or team’s needs and preferences. For certain types of focused coaching, three to six months of coaching may work. For other types of coaching, people may find it beneficial to work with a coach for a longer period. Factors that may impact the length of time include: the types of goals, the ways individuals or teams prefer to work, the frequency of coaching meetings and financial resources available to support coaching.

What are the responsibilities of the individual and coach?

The coach:

  • Provides objective assessment and observations
  • Listens closely to fully understand the individual’s or team’s circumstances
  • Acts as a sounding board in exploring possibilities and implementing thoughtful planning and decision making
  • Champions opportunities and potential, encouraging stretch and challenge commensurate with personal strengths and aspirations
  • Fosters shifts in thinking that reveal fresh perspectives
  • Challenges blind spots to illuminate new possibilities and support the creation of alternative scenarios
  • Maintains professional boundaries in the coaching relationship, including confidentiality, and adheres to the coaching profession’s code of ethics

The individual:

  • Creates the coaching agenda based on personally meaningful coaching goals
  • Uses assessment and observations to enhance self-awareness and awareness of others
  • Envisions personal and/or organizational success
  • Assumes full responsibility for personal decisions and actions
  • Utilizes the coaching process to promote possibility thinking and fresh perspectives
  • Takes courageous action in alignment with personal goals and aspirations
  • Engages big-picture thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Takes the tools, concepts, models and principles provided by the coach and engages in effective forward actions

How is success measured?

Success is measured differently for each client. There are external indicators of performance and internal indicators of success. Ideally, both are incorporated.

Examples of external measures include achievement of coaching goals established at the beginning of the coaching relationship, increased income/revenue, obtaining a promotion, etc. The external measures selected should be things the individual is already measuring and has some ability to directly influence.

Examples of internal measures include changes in the individual’s self-awareness and awareness of others, shifts in thinking, and shifts in one’s emotional state that inspire confidence.

What if I cannot afford the listed pricing?

While I am not the cheapest, I am not the most expensive. I believe that my services should be available to everyone. My ultimate goal is to help others and have you live the life of your dreams.
